Requiem for an Assassin || Chapter Twelve

~`Ezio`~

"Azra'eil, help me, please," I begged.

"Alright. Dagniete!" he called. "Come with me, we need to help Ezio."

"With what?" she asked rather cheerfully.

"Saving Eris," Azzy concluded. We walked back to Dagniete's house, then Azra'eil went into his guest room. He came out with a hidden blade. "Have fun, Ezio."

"You have two hidden blades, and you're going to let me borrow one?"

"No, I have three. You should have one somewhere in your house. That's Altair's."

I dropped the weapon. "No!"

"Ezio, it's the only way."

I picked it up hesitantly. "Fine, Azzy. But I won't like killing him with his own weapon...."

"Doesn't matter, okay? At least you'll have Eris back."

I nodded. At least.

~`Azra'eil`~

"Dagniete, we'll be back, okay?" I asked her. She smiled and nodded, she got this all the time. Honestly, she wasn't phased by it one bit.

Ezio and I climbed to the rooftop, then started running and jumping. We reached Altair in a few minutes. He was by the city gate, putting Eris down by a pillar. "What now?" Ezio asked.

"Fall on him. Attack with your hidden blade."

"Okay..." Ezio said. He jumped and landed behind Altair. "Give Eris back!"

Smooth move. Choice words. Noob.

~`Altair`~

"Well, well, look who's come for his bride," I teased. It was good to be the boss.

"She's not my bride!" Ezio called at me.

"Really? Then why'd you come for her?"

"I should be asking you!"

"Because... I... because I have my reasons!" That was it. This guy was really pissing me off.

"Fine! Just give her back before I kill you!"

"You can't kill me!"

"Why not? You're only in this business for the money!"

"Like you're not a convict for the same purpose. But anyway, I am immortal...."

~`Ezio`~

Immortal...? How's that? "That's impossible!"

"No, it's not..." Altair began. His voice crackled into a more serpentine sound. "I am immortal!"

Altair's skin started... peeling?! A dragon-like figure rose up out of his husk of a corpse. It roared, nearly blasting my ears out, and then slithered around me in the air.

"You see, Ezio, I sold my soul to the dragons. They gave me immortality, but my soul lives with them instead of in my body. I have to kill Eris to reverse this curse."

Curse? Kill Eris? Why? Just beause he was stupid enough to sell his soul in the first place? No way. I was taking Eris, and I was getting out of here.
:D oh snap.

inspired by ~dreamdemon88's dragon pen-tattoo in spanish class today. ~gaspo98 suggested, so here it is. my pen-tattoo was the triforce, in case you're wondering. i totally one-upped altair.
